Usually, an ssri like Paxil will take two weeks to get up to proper levels in you system, so you shouldn't make any adjustments until after two weeks (and after talking to you pdoc). While Paxil can be pretty good for certain Depressives, particularly those with anxiety too (like me), I happened to be one of the lucky ones who seemed to get all the good side effects (no sex drive, the equipment didn't work anyway) and I just came off a five day period of really fun withdrawl while working my way down from 20mg/day to zero (with the input of my pdoc). So good luck, and read up and ask questions about your meds before you get stuck. NOT ALL MEDS EFFECT ALL PEOPLE THE SAME WAY!!
