The hypnotic effect of Klonopin builds tolerance within a few weeks to the point of being negligable. It's also my opinion, FWIW, that if you have to take 20mg of Ambien, you should move onto something else. Talk to your doctor about Gabitril; a high enough dose should give most people healthy sleep. There is also trazodone, Remeron (7.5-15mg 1-2 hours before sleep), and Seroquel (25-100mg 1-2 hours before sleep).
