Oh beleive me, I think it is fully possible to have a responce better than pharmacudicals could ever provide. The only think restricting it is cost.
For instance. If I had the money, I would start using standardized turmeric extract, a potent MAO-A inhibitor. (shown to be superior to fluoxetine in forced swim test etc)
To this I would add fish oil, Inositol, and SAMe.

It really pisses my off sometimes, when I know that the better treatment options are unavailable to the average patient.
Tuermeric extract not only has robust neuroprotective properties, It is also has antinflamitory, life extending properties.
