I'm in Australia. Last August I hit rock bottom spending half the day sleeping & the other half thinking about suicide & being very cranky/irritable/useless. I went to my GP & he started me on Prozac. That was a disaster but no one was injured so I got off Prozac & switched to Efexor. I've been moving up since then & my GP is pretty cool & let me add Remeron which did wonders for me. In the begining of January I got a referal to a pdoc, the waiting list here is 3 months if I want it for free.
