Tolerance to sedating and hypnotic effects seem to eventually occur in the majority of people. The general view is that tolerance to anti-anxiety effects is not common. You just might be one of the unlucky ones. You might ask your doc.

0.5 mg Xanax = 0.5 mg Klonopin, so basically the dosages are interchangeable (i.e. 1:1). See:
