Everyday I wake up about 3AM shaking, and lay there for 3 hours trying not to let the anxiety attack fully develop. I know I'm whining a bit, I have to be patient, I've just never taken anything like this before. The attacks are lessening a bit everyday. I'm just looking forward to the day I can sleep all night again. Thank you to all of you for making me know I'm not alone...

> Hi Missy,
> I wake up at about 4pm after about 5 hrs and then can't sleep anymore. Drives me nuts. I am usually pretty calm in bed but then in the morning when I have to face the day fatigued my anxiety level then rises. Then I get depressed. I have found that I can only handle 5 mg of Lexapro currently. Is this a similar experience to anyone of you guys? I am in mid 4th week and am worried that my dosage is too low and am scared to raise it. Restoril as a sleep aid is only somewhat effective and I want to stop it anyway. Can anyone recommend an effective OTC sleep aid? Thanks all-Steve
>I took TylenolPM to help sleep, lots of posters also have used Benadryl. I started at 5mg, and around end of 4th week I started to feel worse ( increased depression and anxiety attacks). Pdoc raised dose to 10mg and that helped me.
Good luck to you.~~~8|8
