I am on 60mg/day Parnate my research and personal experience is that most lists of diet restrictions/dangers are over-hyped and overly conservative. However, that should not lure one into a false sense of caution...still better safe than sorry. I have eaten small amounts (someti as an experiment) of things on the "longer lists" without problem. In fact, since I started Parnate I have had no BP elevations at all, spontaneous or reactive. I also have not experienced orthostatic hypotension. So far, lots of daytime sleepiness, total loss of appetite (I've forgotten what it's like to feel hungry) and an alarming disappearance of what used to be for 40 years a healthy sex drive. So far, I take this to mean I am under-dosed, but convincing my providr of this may be difficult on my upcoming Feb. 3 appointment. PDR and other establishment sources set the maximum dose at 60mg/day. From Psychobabble I've learned that some people need 60 to100+ mg to respond. So I may be in that often cited predicament of having to educate, cajole or somehow manipulate my provider into doing what is best for ME. It appears that sometimes that is not their primary focus. Persistence ands Patience. Regards, Sailor
