In a nutshell:
If you're taking the XR version, you probably won't feel the *punch* until your dosage is higher than 150mg. If sleeping is the problem, ask for a prescription for Trazadone to take at night. Or try Benedryl. You'll need Benedryl anyways for the time when you decide to stop taking the Effexor. Never let your prescription run out, and when you want to quit, taper down slowly. Withdrawal is a PAIN. Benedryl seems to help with queasiness/dizziness. There are a vast array of side effects, most that fade away. Until you up your dosage. You get to experience the side effects again, and maybe have a few new ones. LOL

MONITOR YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE! Effexor worked wonders for my depression, but was too hard on my heart/blood pressure.

Good Luck!

How long should I give it. I have taken prozac, welbutrin, paxil, celexa, and neurontin. I wish I can find one that helps with my depression but I need motivation also. Is this the right one. They say it is Prozac with a punch. Can anyone help me thanks
