i take t3 (cytomel) with zoloft for more ad action. my pdoc too said that people being treated for depression should have a tsh in the lowest quartile of the normal range (~1-1.75). interestingly enough, many depressed people have a slightly elevated tsh (3.5, 4, 5) which can increase depressive symptoms.
i can vouch for the fact that cytomel may promote weight loss--i'm trying to gain, and it's near impossible! i like it as an adjunct b/c it has no side effects, and may treat an underlying cause of (or contributor to) depression in the first place.
