I increased my dosage of Remeron pretty quickly. I started at 15mg, and stayed on that dose for 4 days. Then I went to 30mg, and stayed on it for 11 days. Then I went to 45mg for 4 days. And then I went to 60mg. I stayed at 60mg until up to a couple days ago, when I dropped back down to 45mg to try and figure out about this darn rash.
I never experienced the extreme drowsiness that most people talk about. The Remeron helps me sleep a little, but I still wake up all night long...just not as many times.
I take it sometime in the evening. When I increased the dose from 30mg to 45mg, I woke up the next day feeling GOOD. I actually felt fine, and I had an interest in my life. I felt more awake and just better.
As for the Inderal, I would prefer to take the long-acting version as part of my daily meds. The long-acting has a half-life of 12 hours, so I take it basically every 12 hours. It keeps the level of beta blocker at a steady state in my blood, rather than jumping up and down if I use it "as needed".
Take care!
Sandy
