I am also interested in riluzole. Despite your negative reaction to Lamictal, I don't think it makes sense to rule it out. The state of the art is not yet to the point where one can be confident in predicting how any one individual will react to any given drug. It would be a shame if an exercise in logic prevents you from finding the drug that works for you.
