Yes, I'm glad you sent your message, Karen! I, too am pretty med tolerant, and I adjusted well to the Topamax side effects. I had some of the cognitive "stupids", mostly just unable to recall what the heck I was talking about, but that has dissipated.
I'm not against going up on the AD...the Pdoc just thinks that I'm already on such a high dose (300mg) that he doesn't want to go any higher. I don't know how high one can go on Effexor??? But I've always had to go to the limit with AD's...they have never pulled me out of my depressions...that is why we have added mood stabilizers lately....
I'd really like to try going up on the Topa. I just wanted to see what dosages others were on , since I don't know what a therapeutic dosage is, just that 200mg seems to be the norm??
Hopefully others will chime in and let me know what their experiences are?
