THe mineral form of lithium might work, although I have sucess with 300mg of lithium carbonate, not sure if that dose through mineral lithium is possible.


As far as safety goes. Lithium can be taken with lexapro. While l-tryptophan was taken off the market in the 80's, it is the precursor to a newer supplement called 5-htp. It is a more direct precursor to serotonin than l-typrophan was. It is available at health food stores.

Serotonin syndrome is a potential risk. I am taking a very low dose of Celexa, which may or may not be why I am having no interaction. However some caution must be advised. The threshold for s,syndrome to occur is generally unknown.
