Lexapro and Alcohol Cause Death-

Posted by jooneybuggy on January 9, 2004, at 18:46:22

FINALLY

Here is the information on Lexapro,It has taken us over a year to get it. The results of the blood test on the Lexapro, was 10 times higher than it should have been for the dose she was on. It was 210 and should have been 21. All medication was accounted for.
No suspect of sucide or etc.
She was drinking as well.
The liver could not metabolize both, is the only explination they could, or would give us.
She was on the drug less than 2 Weeks--she was taking it for panic attacks--we had been robbed in our shop, she was helt at gun point and tied up. She could not get over it, and the panic attacks were very bad. We finally got her to see a doctor at a clinic--the doctor saw her 1--ONE time and prescribed this drug--
I feel there are not enough warnings given with it,on inserts, or from the prescribing doctor.
To all of you out there who are on this drug or may be on it--DO NOT DRINK-
of course, THIS FACT should be known with all of these type drugs,
but not all follow directions. Thats life.
Less than 2 weeks on a drug, and the levels are that high!!!!!--
yes, alcohol was a contribituing factor.
BOTH TOGEHTER WERE LETHAL.
BE CAREFUL, DO NOT LOOSE A LOVE ONE AS WE DID, TAKE CARE TO READ AND ASK QUESTIONS. Bottem line is this drug is not safe.
take care all.
