Lexapro and Alcohol

Posted by JohnFromCalifornia on January 4, 2004, at 15:59:48

When taking Lexapro (10 mg in mornings), is alcohol absolutely forbidden anytime during the same day? Even if after three weeks my Lexapro side effects are minimal and I'm merely having a glass of wine with dinner? (Okay, a couple?)

Is there some interaction between SSRIs and alcohol that makes their intermingling a really bad idea?

I know drinking generally a bad thing when you're depressed, but I miss my afterwork cocktail SO-O-O badly!

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
