Gabitril vs Neurontin for sleeping?

Posted by Leo BoStar on January 3, 2004, at 12:36:18

My doc recently switched me from Librium and Neurontin to Gabitril only. The problem is it makes me sleep 23-24 hrs/day. I suppose this takes care of the anti-anxiety properties of librium, but I don't think this is what he had in mind. I wouldn't know about the anti-seizure effects that used to be handled by neurontin - I'm never awake long enough to have a seizure!! Anyone else have this problem with Gabitril?? BTW, I have to admit - it's a damn good, restful sleep with pleasant dreams. Not a bad life, really, if it wasn't for other things that have to be done....
