My doc told me 50 mg was a "baby dose" and unless you are taking it for seizures there is no reason you can't stop it. The side effects take a while to go away, and I finally had to take something for anxiety because that lovely side effect would not go away. Been off Topomax for almost 7 weeks, and it is the best Christmas present I got-having my life back. I took it for migraines.
