Lexapro - Does sleepiness mean it's working?

I started Lexapro two weeks ago and found immediately that I was sleepy all the time. I'd lie down to watch TV and be out like a light. I have for FORCE myself out of bed in the morning.

Interestingly, though, once I'm up and active I have good energy and a clear mind. Anxiety levels are lower after this short time, but my deeply-ingrained depression, manifested by not caring to be around people, etc., has not yet been improved.

I'm wondering if my sleepness is an indication that Lexapro is working for me. I know seratonin is an aid to sleep, and I'm hoping that the Lexapro is boosting my seratonin levels and will eventually reduce my depression.

Any feedback, professional or experiental, would be much appreciated.
