In reply to Severely underweight -- suggestions?, posted by billym on December 28, 2003, at 10:28:22
my best advice to you would be to eat all through out the day, and eat alot of carbs. i am your hieght and a 2 years ago i weighed the same as you, but b/c of medication taking away my appetite. different reasons, but i couldn't seem to gain weight. i talked to a nutritionist and they said to eat every 3 hours, but you have to really be aware of the time so you do eat and not forget. and she said to eat those protien bars, added to a regular diet they are suppose to pack on pounds. i gained weight. good luck
> Does anyone have any suggestions on how to gain body fat? I am underweight and I have about 3% body fat. This is due to a multitude of problems, from high metabolism to recovery from leukemia, so if anyone can help that would be appreciated. My doctors don't have much advice, though they put me on Remeron and it's helping with appetite.
