From Luvox to Lexapro

Posted by VitalSign on December 23, 2003, at 12:37:44

I've been on Luvox (50mgs) and Xanax (1mg) daily for 8 years for OCD.

The Luvox hasn't been very effective anymore. OCD is back in full force. I also have gotten very sensitive to Luvox. When I tried to increase my dosage I felt horrible.

So my doctor wants me to try Lexapro. He said it is up to me whether I stop taking Luvox now and start taking Lexapro (10mgs) right away or I can take Luvox at night and Lexapro in the morning.

I took the Lexapro this morning and I do feel kind of jittery. I've been getting some sweats.

Should I be able to just stop taking the Luvox and take the Lexapro in the morning without any withdrawal symptoms?

Thanks!
