I feel the same way you do about the valium "blues"; I have to remind myself that it is probably much of the valium that is causing me to feel down the day after I take it. I took Klonopin (a low dose at bedtime) for some time last year, but did not feel suicidally depressed from it. After a few nights of taking valium, though, I can get to feeling heavily depressed the following day--not to mention the yucky hangovers since it stays in your body so long!
Never had these issues with xanax, and it helped my anxiety quickly and helped me to sleep better than valium did, but pdocs are very reluctant to prescribe it...(I got it from a dr., who I no longer use anymore for certain reasons)...argh...I did have mild "day after blues" when i was taking a moderate dose of serax the past few months at night. I have only taken Ativan a few times, but I hope I'll never have to take it again. It made me sooo depressed the day after. Ick! No thank-you! haha...
So hopefully I can find something that tames the beasts of anxiety + muscle spasms!
Thanks :)>I have to be really careful with the longer acting benzodizepines, both Klonopin and Valium
