Thanks for the replies. As the Effexor goes, it took two months to get to 150. For the Tegretol, it took 3 months to get to 400, then I backed down to 300 on the advice of my pdoc. The Perphenezine is used for budget reasons (it's cheap) and it also helps with the nausea. This is also my first antipsychotic.

As far as neuroleptics and AD's go, it's true that they are not very high doses. I want to discontinue Tegretol and try Depakote. Is there a generic for it? As far as AD's, my pdoc wants to try a couple more things then go to MAOI's. Probably Parnate to start. We've been trying to keep with meds that have a lower side effect profile. Any ideas? Any TCA or SSRI is out.

I'm Trying to keep faith that there is a med or combo of that will work without causing such huge problems. At this point, I'm wondering what's worse-being disabled by meds, or by my issues alone.
