Hi. I don't have ADD, so I can't tell you anything about that. Selegiline metabolizes to amphetamine. It does not kill anxiety - at least not from a physical point. It can zip you up a bit. But I have found it to help mood and to help me up from states of sluggish, unmotivated depression.

I swear the stuff kept me out of the hospital one awful day - about an hour after I took a dose I suddenly regained the ability to get up, take a shower, and creep out of the house. I thought it was impossible but my pdoc said that yes, I could act that fast. Freaky. Of course if I'm off it for a couple of days, I can slip back.

It may not be one-stop shopping for depression and anxiety, but if you have something to help with anxiety, then you might want to try out a low dose and see what you think. If I'm in a state where I'm experiencing a lot of anxiety (I do have anxiety problems), then I have to use something else to help with that. Keppra offset the stimulating aspects, but I didn’t like Keppra on the whole. A benzo might do the trick.

I hope that wasn't confusing. Good luck.

Emme
