hmmm..I don't know how alcohol could save ones life unless used as an antibiotic for cuts.:P I guess it gave you something to do. But yes, it is a depressant. Alcoholism runs in my family so I don't normally touch the stuff. Rarely do I drink and not more than one or two mixed drinks. I am not on meds right now because I am waiting for my Dr to call my prescription in. I told him up front that I didn't think the Zyprexa would work for me. Sometimes I think Dr's need to listen to what a patient knows about themselves. He DID say he would put me on the Topamax if the Zyprexa made me gain weight or didn't work period.
