I have never heard of any doctor telling a patient to hurry up and get pregnant after terminating a pregnancy. Maybe there is something I don't know. I have heard that women need to rest their bodies a few months after terminating a pregnacy. It's a mental as well as a physical adjustment to having a loss. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. Your state of mind is extremely important. There is a direct link between our bodies and minds.
My good friend took Prozac after she had a miscarriage. She took it during her next pregnancy. After the baby arrived, she had a more severe depression and was put on Effexor. She is breastfeeding. Her child is now 2 y/o. Baby and Mom are doing fine. For my friend, not being on an antidepressant was not an option. She said this child (3rd) is much more laid back. My friend believes it is due to her attitude. She is not as depressed as she was with her 1st two children.
You have to do what is best for you. Perhaps, switching to Prozac prior to pregnancy may be an option. But, 1st and foremost, you have to take care of you. Then, plan the pregnancy.
