What are you taking the Lexapro for? I have been diagnosed with ADD and social phobia and I had the same reaction to taking Zoloft by itself. Before that I was taking Zoloft and Buspar together with few problems. However, the other day I ran out of Buspar and continued on the Zoloft. Big mistake. I started getting motor tics where I couldn't sit still for more than a second and I was also really shaky. I didn't even notice it until someone else pointed it out to me and said it looked like I had Tourette's syndrome. I have always had trembling hands and a small amount of motor tics that I could control, however, the Zoloft made things a hundred times worse. I think it's due to SSRI's enhancing serotonin which suppresses dopamine.
I did a little research on Tourette's and found that *low-dose* antipsychotics (which enhance dopamine transmission) are used to treat Tourette's. I guess it's no coincidence that Buspar (a d2 dopamine antagonist; like the antipsychotics) was able to keep the Zoloft in check. The next drug I am trying is low-dose Sulpiride (anti-psychotic that acts specifically on dopamine receptors) however it's not available in the USA and is taking forever to get here from Europe..
