I believe the symptoms are most important but they need not fit into any 'box'.
For instance, I don't believe their is such an entity as OCD or Panic D/O with a universal biological aetiology. I believe people may experience somewhat SIMILIAR symptoms but the underlying cause in everyone is different. Some might have too much of this chemical another too little. One might have faulty ionic transport across the membranes...but, IMO, it's different for everyone. Sometimes maybe slightly, sometimes greatly, but always different.
It's best to look at a person and their symptoms as a whole and not 'box'.
