Effexor is an SNRI, it blocks the reputake of serotonin and norepinephrine, thus increasing brain availability.
Yes, when taking incorrectly, any drug has the potential to hurt you. Taking too much of a drug could theoretically dammage the brain.
The brain has the ability to regenerate and repair itself, however this takes pressure (in the form of exercise, the right meds, and proper nutrition) and time.
Best of LuckP.S. Are you adding folic acid supplements to your meds yet ?? Do it. 1 mg of folic acid. Can't hurt.
A very good brain food.
