Re: Ladies: Lexapro and Yeast Infections?

Hi,

It may be coincidental, but I too have had monthly itchiness after taking Lexapro. I started taking it in Feb. and was taking 5mg daily (not 10mg as I mistakenly typed in a previous post). Anyway, I was taking carbamazepine 200mg with it for a month, then stopped that and just took the Lexapro. I'd get what I'd call a very mild yeast infection, no discharge, just itchiness. It would occur about a week after my period, and last until I started again. I'm 40 yrs. old and not taking any hormones or oral contraceptives. Who knows?

I am now taking 20mg Prozac capsule daily. So far, no itchies (been on it for 2 1/2 weeks).
