physical illness leading to mental illness

the dec. 1st issue of newsweek has an article 'diseases of the mind'. it presents compelling evidence that mental illness may be the result of infection, Lyme disease, or other pathogens invading human nervous systems. in this model there would be no 'mental illness' per se, rather we are seeing symptoms of chronic neurological infestation.
