Amantadine

Posted by myclonic_jerk on December 2, 2003, at 12:18:00

Hi all,

Has anyone had any success in using Amantadine for adult ADD? This substance is used primarily to treat the early stages of Parkinson's, although it doubles as a treatment/preventive for influenza A virus.I'm curious.
I ask because my experience with this med. was that it greatly improved ADD symptoms, but unfortunately quickly worsened my depressive symptoms.
Also, has anyone been prescribed a stimulant (or other 'novel'and ingeniuosly cunning) med. for ADD. in the UK.Trying to get a stim. prescribed here is like trying to arrange a dinner date with Saddam.

The Jerk.

ps. can't get Wellbutrin for this purpose here either.
