Efexor longterm withdrawl...

Posted by Nick77 on December 1, 2003, at 18:41:56

Hi y'all,

6 months ago I stopped taking efexor after a year+ long period of taking 150mg daily.
Now the reason I quit this substance is b/c after 11 months of taking it I started developing a strange inability to think clearly. Realizing these complaints didn't subside I quit completely one month later but the 'fog' did not go away. After six months of not taking this drug I still never feel completely 'awake'. Even when I sleep very well, consume no alcohol for weeks on end and exercize consistently I still feel groggy, can't think clearly and generally feel subdued. I used to be outgoing, now I tend to struggle for words. I feel these drugs have severly impaired my cognitive abillities, even after such a long period of not using it.

I wonder then, has anyone else experienced any persistent side-effects even after not taking the drug for such a long period? And does it get better? Or will this fog remain?

Your contributions will be appreciated greatly.
Kind regards,

Nick
