This is a common side effect but at times it is a welcome effect. It is highly variable amoung people.
Some may have this side effect and some may not.
As a class the TCA's all tend to do this in most people. I do find it is dose related, however on some AD's the dose at which numbing happens, for me,
is still not high enough to treat the depression.
