> Does anyone here know if what my pdoc says is true? Not necessarily. Any SSRI can fail. A silly pdoc said to me once when I was on 200mg Zoloft- you won't get a better response from any other drug at that dose. He spoke nonsense because Nardil helps my OCD much better that Zoloft ever did. Also, Zyprexa killed one part of my oCD.
I have not had any relief whatsoever from my OCD tendencies while on 40 mg of CelexaIf you have been on it a while, throw it away.
and I want to lower that dose and add in some Luvox,I would only augment If you were getting some benefit from the Celexa.
Luvox seems to be the best SSRI geared toward OCD- I'm not an SSRI fan but I have notice good responses from Luvox.
which is targeted (at least that's what they say) specifically to OCD.
Maybe quit Celexa and start Luvox.
Pdoc is against it. HELP! I want to convince pdoc to let me try Luvox with less Celexa (if I kept the Celexa dose and added Luvox I'd get Serotonin Syndrome, which happened before, like a year ago when I was on Effexor and a different pdoc - a dumb one(!) added in Luvox. We had to lower the Effexor dose ASAP.

> Anyway, Does Celexa help with OCD is my question ??? Thanks to whoever can answer. Not for you it seems. I would start Luvox and then add a low dose of an atypical antipsychotic- if this is plausible. You shouldn't have to convince your doc- it is your body and it is obvious you have done research.
Also, how about Tramadol? I have heard some outstanding OCD responses on this.
What about Anafranil too?
Good luck whatever happens!
