lexapro side effects

I was just started on Lexapro this week: 5 mg. I have had some side effects, nausea and "fogginess" in my head. How long do these SEs last and when will I begin to feel better? I have anxiety and was unable to tolerate Paxil. Is 5 mg an appropriate dosage to be effective for my symptoms? I am only 5ft and weight 100#.
