I was on Wellbutrin for years. For straight depression, it's a wonderful, mainly side-effect-free drug.
You aren't supposed to use Wellbutrin is you have a history of anorexia, bulimia, or alcoholism because your convulsion threshhold is lowered (charming huh?).
Beyond that, Wellbutrin is gradual. Have patience, wait a few weeks, and your mood should lift. 5 lbs of weight loss is common on it. It's definately worth an honest chance.
I quit because it wasn't helping me on anxiety, and I have too much of that.
