Why there are no new MAOI drugs on the market??

Hello
MAOIS are the best drugs or at least for some people have showm to be the best.
Why there is not research and investment for this kind of drugs . they can help people very much.
I know they made the RIMAO , but they are not as effective as the MAOI
They shoul invest more money to make more MAOI or try fo find drugs that act in similar way to them

Why they are on the past?
