Atrial Fibrillation

Posted by wiggedout on October 25, 2003, at 20:04:06

I have a history of a-fib and have found it always occurs upon rising from sleep suddenly. I have read that it can be caused by a sudden rise or drop in blood pressure. I have been hospitalized 12 times over the past 10 years, the last two times in which I had to be converted with the dreaded paddles (shocked). I get nothing from the doctors as to what causes it or what to do to prevent it. They now have me on Zoloft and Xanax (so I can fall asleep) and it is getting most disenheartening. Anyone with anything similiar?

Thanks.
