.5mg is usually the standard dose physicians give for patients with anxiety traveling, whether by bus, train, or jetliner.
I would tell your physician that it doesn't seem to help much when you take the .5mg (except maybe mentally)
He/she should be certainly helpful in maybe adjusting your dosage in coping with your anxiety and traveling.
Good luck:-)> My doc put me on Lexapro (daily) and Ativan (when needed) for anxiety and panic attacks. My panic attacks are pretty severe when I am traveling. My question is, What would be a good dose to sedate me enough to help me relax more when I am traveling? My dose currently is .5mg when needed. It doesn't seem to help much when I take the .5mg (except maybe mentally). Anybody have any suggestions?
