Neurontin as an Antipsychotic?

Posted by SandyWeb on October 22, 2003, at 12:30:43

I have been on Neurontin (1600mg/day) for almost 3 months now. It has been absolutely wonderful for my social anxiety. But has anyone noticed that it has antipsychotic properties??

I am sooo surprised to see that my distorted thought-processes are clear now. I no longer have a noisy head, with many "thoughts" happening at once. I no longer have voices, and certainly don't talk with them anymore. I no longer get involved with fantasies within my mind. And, of course, it stabilizes me from dipping constantly throughout the day.

Anyone else notice these results from taking Neurontin? Needless to say, I'm sticking with this med! <smile>
