Rush of Blood To Head--What Is The Cause?

Posted by Robert Jose Smith on October 22, 2003, at 2:17:14

Hi, I have ADD and take Adderall. Many times I find myself participating in class (or other social situations) and I'll feel like my head's going to just spin off--like an erupting valcano. My mind goes blank and I'll just feel lost in the middle of a conversation. I forget and can't understand what people are saying. Every conversation sounds the way Lucy's parents sounded on the phone from the Peanuts Show. My face will get hot. And I'll do anything to get the ordeal over with asap. What is this symptom? Is this anxiety? Bloodpressure? On ritalin I feel that I'm not as anxious but instead more nervous (clutsy)--which is not better. Adderall sometimes makes me feel calm--so what is this paradox? Whatever it is--does anybody have any similar experiences? I've never really had this problem when I was younger--but the ADD sucks too--so I'm not willing/able to just stop those meds.
