as caleb mentioned, utracet has serotonin reuptake inhibition properties similar to lexapro. if the same doctor prescribed both, he/she should have mentioned a dosage reduction of lexapro if one were necessary (to prevent serotonin overload or serotonin syndrome). the doctor probably didn't see this as needed cos it sounds like your ultracet dose is fairly small. excess serotonin (more than you're used to but still safe) could possibly make you feel blah, or if it's been about 5 hours since your last ultracet dose, it could be the flatness and fatigue that can come on when that wears off (it's "activating," so when it starts to wear off, you might feel let down). anyway, just some guesses for you. i wouldn't give it too many more days if i were you -- they'd most likely be a waste of time, in my opinion. on the other hand,if you have a lot of pain and this drug is your sole option (docs like it cos it's not "scheduled"), you might have to endure the side effects, at least for awhile.
