Weight Gain + Topamax = success?

I'm on Nardil 90mg and gaining weight almost dangerously. I've gaine nearly 40 pounds in a month and it continues. My dr. brought up Topamax - but I had problems with side effects with that one before (concentration, finding words). Anyone have success with this med? Does ithelp with anxiety as well? Do the side effects get better?

Any help is greatly appricated.
