Effexor vs. Paxil

I've been on Effexor XR for about a month and have noticed some improvement in my depressive symptoms as far as improved mood, but my anxiety is as bad as ever. Add to that the fact that the Effexor seems to give me tremors. I'm currently taking 75mg. I also take Xanax .025 mg prn for the anxiety that the Effexor seems to be making worse. In the past I was on a low dose of Paxil and did very well. I also think the Effexor is killing my libido, which wasn't a problem when I was on Paxil. I am seriously considering asking my doctor to switch to Paxil because the side effects of the Effexor are so bothersome. Has anyone else experienced these effects?
