Hi Carey,

I also longed for a 3rd child after the birth of my twins seven years prior. After suffering a major bout of postpartum depression after the twins were born, I was prescribed zoloft, which I continued to take until deciding on the third child. I consulted with my psychiatrist, my ob/gyn, and a genetic specialist to discuss implications of remaining on zoloft while pregnant. The consensus was that zoloft had been studied extensively in pregnancy so I continued to take it throughout my pregnancy and remained depression-free throughout. I delivered a healthy baby boy 1 1/2 years ago. Unfortunately, the PPD hit me even harder the second time around and I am still trying to find the right meds, since the zoloft alone is not working.

Good luck, and keep us posted on whatever you decide.

Nicole
