>> I also take adderall 40mg and klonopin 2.5mg in addition to 10mg lex. I remember you saying that you've always augmented AD's with dex. My last few SSRI trials were augmented with adderall, and the synergy between the stim and SSRI has always helped in the past. I'm just wondering, though - have you felt any strange interactions between the lexapro and the dexadrine? I ask because I find that the lex has really been dampening the fx of the adderall. It seems like each adderall dose gives me a bit of a mood lift and relief from the lex SE's, but the relief is very short-lasting (about 1 hour), and then my mood goes way down again. I don't believe this phenomenon ever happened to me before when combining an SSRI + adderall. I've been taking adderall itself on and off for a few years for ADD at differing doses. After a month-long break this summer, I began the adderall again at 20mg, which for me is a lower-than-usual dose. But it was still effective until I began the lex; since then, I've sort of been compensating for the lex dampening effects by increasing my adderall doses. Now I'm up to 40mg, which lies within my usual past adderall dose range, but my pdoc wanted me to stay on the original lower 20mg that I started up on. I wonder if maybe my higher adderall dose is somehow inhibiting the lex from working. I don't know, I'm just speculating. It sucks, though, because the only way to find out is to lower the adderall again and see if this time any lex benefits become noticeable; but lowering the adderall now is very hard for me because it's the only thing that gives me somewhat of a relief, albeit a minimum one, from my daily depression. Just hope it's not counteracting the lex, just as the lex seems to be counteracting it. Who knows how 2 meds will affect one another if there are signs of a wierd synergy going on? BTW, how much dex do you take?
