In reply to Neurontin for anxietyany experiences?, posted by krybrahaha on September 18, 2003, at 15:23:23
I've just started Neurontin again. I have an on and off relationship with it. I originally took it for fibromyalgia pain, which it didn't help, but I did notice that I felt a nice mellow spaciness on it which was helpful for days when I just wanted to rest and heal. I take 3 at a time, and sometimes combine it with a benzo because I have such a difficult time unwinding when I'm anxious. Unfortunately, I found that after a short time I built up tolerance to it, but taking a break from it and then starting again overcomes this.
Let's keep in touch with our experiences. I'm Bipolar-I mixed states and am on lithium and lamictal, but things can still get difficult at times due to residual anxiety. I would so love to find something that will soothe that gnawing dread. - BarbaraCat

Has anyone had any success using Neurontin for anxiety, if so, what dosage are you on and can you grow tolerant to it?
