Hi fab, I am very med sensitive. I've taken both Ativan and Xanax in the past and I seemed to have better success with Ativan~by far.
I never had any anxiety rebound effect with either one. The lowest dose I took of Ativan was 2mg, worked wonderfully with the Effexor I was on at the time. Hoping you'll get some more posters who may be able to help ya better.
Good luck!

> Hi all, I'm really med-sensitive and wanted to know what experience others who are med sensitive have had with ativan or xanax? I hear there is the possibility of an anxiety rebound effect? Is that worse for the med sensitive and what if you just take it (one of them that is, not both) as needed... like during a panic episode etc? Same deal? Lowest effective dose anyone has taken? I do not do well with SSRIs and currently only want to take a med on an "as needed" basis. Thanks!
