Buspar is a drug which my patients rarely seem to find of much value.High doses (as much as 45mg daily) over a long period seem to be necessary and even then the results are usually not too impressive.Despite this I understand that Buspar is in the top 100 of drugs prescribed in America every year.A few of my patients find it works well.It is of no value for acute anxiety-benzodiazepines are still the best of a bad lot there.
