I've always had low blood pressure.. it was taken 3 1/2 weeks ago when I had my surgery and was 90/70.
I've just had to see my GP, and needed more contraceptive pills, and when she took it it was 130/104.. I made her test the other arm, 128/100 and made her do it again with another machine.. no difference. She says I have to go back in two weeks and have it re-tested.
Theres no reason today that it should be high - infact I've just had the most wonderful relaxing weekend in the countryside with friends.
For the past 2 weeks I've been feleing generally unwell.. slight headache, itchy hives coming up on my body (though they are better than they were), irregular bowel movements.. could these be a symptom of high blood pressure??
And what could cause my blood pressure to raise so dramatically so quickly?? I have a very low sodium diet, low cholesterol.. I am over weight, smoke and am on contraceptive pill though (though GP says I must come off contraceptive pill within next 6 weeks for this and another reason).. no other meds at the moment (been 3 weeks psych med free)
Thanks for any advice, I'm kinda freaking out!
